For decades now Data Entry Job Scams have run rampant.

Even before the Internet business phenomena, Data Entry Scams have been sending out probably the same report that was out of date by the 1980s.

The only 'service' that these Scam companies provide is an out-of-date directory of organizations that are 'hiring' data entry workers. These lists are over-run with invalid phone numbers and companies that have gone out of business.

You may be calling a few companies that have been contacted 20,000,000 times about that same report mentioned above and are definitely not interested in hiring the last 19,999,999 to call.

Another Data Entry Job Scam Business Model is to hire you to type ads.

They do not mention the only money you make would be from others answering those ads and buying into the same data entry job to type ads.

In other words you don't get paid for typing. If you ever get paid it will be from marketing those ads you type. Same as in the former example, where if you are ever paid it will be for how many times you can sell that worn out directory over and over.

The formula to earn money doing legitimate 'data entry' is type X amount of ads or whatever, (or for X amount of time), for X amount of dollars. That would be money earned from a data entry job.

An example of a legitimate data entry job would be one where they are diametrically opposed to the Scam program, which is little more than a POSSIBILITY (however remote) of finding someone who will pay you to do data entry from the directory. At the same time they cannot promise you a job.

To find a legitimate data entry job you might contact businesses in your area that you have a relationship with (even if you are just a customer).

After you develop your ideas and find out what office and computer services they use, you may be able to offer them the assistance they need and do some work for them.

Get some ideas of types of data entry you can do for businesses. You can help them maintain databases for accounting, help in system conversions and upgrades, and other projects.

Different industries have different databases, for example employment and staffing, inventory, payroll, and accounts payable and receivable. All of these require data entry services.

Don't stop there - create a web sales page (or create a blog if you can't),

that details the data entry services you can provide, along with your qualifications and testimonials, your price and an order form. Start marketing it.
