I'm Noche and I live in Australia but originally from the Philippines. I'm a Finance Officer in a multinational car company and a proud Online Business Owner.

I built up my career in finance for more than 11 years. I thought that as long as I work in a big company (big banks & blue chip companies), be loyal and render a very good service to my employer, then I will be secure.

This belief doesn't apply anymore in our modern world.

I started this online business in 2020 in the middle of a lockdown.

I knew by then that my work is not considered as an essential service, I was scared I may lose my job. This pushed me to find ways to have a back up plan in case I lose the job that I love and my main source of income.

Also, we have BIG PLANS for my family like we want to build a house and we need to have extra income to help us save money to achieve that GOAL.

Fast forward to today when things started to go back to normal, we thought everything was working fine.

Little we knew that the company I work with is struggling.

At work, we received shocking news that many of our colleagues got redundant and they don't have a job anymore.

These employees worked for so many years in the company and were loyal in providing their service. These people lose their jobs not because they are not performing well, it just simply means that the company doesn't need them anymore.

We can't blame the company since a lot of big corporations suffered too in this time of crisis.

I can't imagine the despair that those employees felt when they found out they don't have jobs anymore.

I can't imagine the sadness when they go back to their family bringing bad news of being laid off. I wonder how they can continue with their financial obligations and continue supporting their family now that they lost their main source of income.

While most of the people are worried about those who are highly affected with the shocking reality, I received huge blessings from my online business. This made me realize that I made the right choice in taking the risk and took the leap of faith of being an online business owner.

I believe that this is confirmation from the above that having a back up plan is one of the best things I did for myself and my family.
