Money for the IRS

One of the worst things you can do for yourself financially is to avoid setting aside a certain amount of money out of each paycheck.

The IRS will want the money that is owed to them, even if your employer did not take it out of your paychecks for you. When you are a standard employee somewhere, you do not have to worry about setting aside your own taxes. As a self-employed person, this is something that you will have to do.

Many self-employed people will set aside about 25% - 30% of their money out of each pay. This money goes into a bank account and it sits there until it is time to file taxes. Many people pay their taxes every quarter while some wait until the end of the year.

You should be warned though, while it may seem convenient to wait until the end of the year, not paying every quarter could result in interest and penalty fees.

If you do go ahead and pay the money every quarter, you do not have to worry about overpaying because at the end of the year, you can claim deductions. The deductions are expenses that you had to cover in order to perform your job or to run your business.

Such expenses could include Internet and phone bills, printer ink, advertisement costs and even parts of your electric and natural gas bill depending on the size of your home office.

When you work from home, there are many financial aspects that you will have to take into consideration. The best thing might be to hire a professional tax agent, especially for your first year of being self-employed.

Make sure that you are keeping all of your receipts for anything that you spent money on and your tax agent will be able to tell you whether it could be a deduction.

I can give more back to my parents

I don't need to hesitate when my relatives or family friends ask for help financially.

Im saving more for my daughter's future.

Paying credit card debts.

Family Travel without stressing about expenses.
